King Charles allegedly evicted Prince Harry and Meghan

According to reports, King Charles allegedly evicted Prince Harry and Meghan after the Duke published his memoir Spare. The Sun reported that the Sussexes are making plans to have the rest of their belongings shipped to their Montecito home.

An insider has said, as reported by The Sun:

This eviction surely spells the end of Harry and Meghan’s time in the UK.

This turn of events has also put into doubt whether or not Prince Harry and Meghan will attend King Charles’ coronation in May. It is believed that another Royal is eyeing up the cottage.

Prince Andrew allegedly wants Frogmore Cottage

Reports suggest that King Charles is offering Frogmore Cottage to his brother, Prince Andrew as he will likely have to move out of Royal Lodge due to his yearly cutback.

However, there is a bit of confusion concerning who is living at Frogmore Cottage as it was thought that Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank were staying there. However, the Princess of York only moved into Frogmore with her family temporarily for the Christmas period.

The cottage has been mainly empty since December 2021, being used occasionally when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visit the UK for short periods.

Prince Harry and Meghan's security in peril

This is a blow for Prince Harry and Meghan as it means they will completely lose any security they had. Frogmore Cottage included security as it was located just 5 minutes from Windsor Castle and is within the Metropolitan Police-led ring of steel surrounding the Windsor Estate.

Omid Scoobie, a royal expert, writes:

The couple’s British home has become Prince Harry, Meghan, Archie and Lilibet’s only sufficiently secure refuge in the country since their access to armed police protection was taken away in 2020.

Adding:

Their official UK residence, which is covered by the Met’s Royalty and Specialist Protection Unit, made it easy for the family to spend time with the Queen during their June 2022 visit

Prince Harry and Meghan's spokesperson has since released a statement confirming that the couple has been asked to leave Frogmore Cottage. As per Sky News:

We can confirm the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been requested to vacate their residence at Frogmore Cottage
