Netflix on hold

It was confirmed earlier that Prince Harry is making changes in his upcoming memoir after Queen Elizabeth II’s death. And now there are chances that the Sussexes might snub the Netflix series or postpone it until next year.

The Sussex couple has been working on a Netflix docuseries as a part of their multimillion-dollar Netflix deal. While there haven’t been any official announcements regarding their show, it was anticipated that the series will come right after Season 5 of Netflix’s The Crown.

However, The Sun confirms that the couple is keen on downplaying much of what they have said about the King and Queen Consort as well as Prince William and Kate Middleton. Additionally, a Hollywood insider told Page Six:

A lot of conversations are happening. I hear that Harry and Meghan want the series to be held until next year, they want to stall.
I wonder if the show could even be dead in the water at this point, do Harry and Meghan just want to shelve this thing?

Meanwhile, a Netflix insider revealed:

Netflix has been keen to have the show ready to stream for December. There’s a lot of pressure on (Netflix CEO) Ted Sarandos, who has the relationship with Harry and Meghan, to get this show finished.

Upcoming projects can make or break

A lot depends on the Sussexes’, who are treading a fine line with the Royal Family, upcoming projects. Many Royal experts believe that King Charles III would hold off giving titles to Archie and Lilibet until the duke and duchess’ various media projects are out.

On the other hand, Mirror also reports that King Charles III is concerned about the release of his new book as the initial 100 days are crucial for the monarch to set the tone of his sovereignty.
