I can confirm that Princess Lilibet Diana was christened on Friday, March 3 by the Archbishop of Los Angeles, the Rev John Taylor.

Since the very birth of Lilibet, Royal fans have been wondering if her christening had already taken place in the US or if they would bring her to the UK for the special ceremony. But the announcement has confirmed that she was baptised in Los Angeles by Reverend John Taylor, who according to Daily Mail, is Archbishop in the Episcopal Church.

Princess Lilibet Diana, a deliberate move?

While the news of her christening was long-anticipated, their announcement is getting traction for another important reason. It's the first time that Prince Harry and Meghan have referred to their children as Prince or Princess.

That's right. If you missed it, they calledLilibet Diana 'Princess' for the first time ever!

The Sussex children were eligible to take on the titles when King Charles ascended to the throne, but it was not yet known whether they would adopt the titles. However, the latest announcement by Prince Harry and Meghan may have been a deliberate attempt to clear the rumours and clarify that their children will be using their titles.

Sky News and Daily Mail have reported that both Archie and Lilibet will likely be referred to as Prince and Princess in formal settings. Buckingham Palace has also officially made the changes to their names on the Royal website as well.

Invitations for the christening

Meanwhile, Royal expert Omid Scobie has revealed other details about the christening. According to his latest tweet, King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William and Princess Kate were invited to the event. However, the four royals chose not to attend.

It is not clear where he has gotten this information from but he has previously been referred to as a 'friend of Meghan.'
