Prince Archie might accompany Prince Harry to Hugh Grosvenor's wedding in June

Prince Archie could also soon be making a comeback in England. The son of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle - who will celebrate his 5th birthday in May - could accompany his father to an important event.

While Prince Harry recently confessed to thinking about applying for American citizenship, he seems to need a return to his roots more than ever. On 6 February 2024, less than 24 hours after Buckingham Palace made a shocking announcement about King Charles III, the Duke of Sussex took the first plane from California to visit his father.

No sooner had he arrived in London than he was whisked off to Clarence House - where the 75-year-old monarch and his wife, Queen Camilla, were waiting. The two men enjoyed their reunion only briefly as King Charles took off for Sandringham just minutes after his youngest son's arrival.

At the time, a source close to the palace told the press:

Harry travelled to see his father, even thinking of going with him to Sandringham. But he was asked to come to Clarence House and informed that the appointment would last no more than 30 minutes

Charles III's entourage feared they'd never be able to 'get rid' of Prince Harry if he followed him to Sandringham. However, though this last visit to the UK was short, Prince Harry is expected to attend several events in the UK in 2024.

On 8 May, he is due to return to London in order to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games, which he created in 2014. It's an event he can't afford to miss, as he is the driving force behind this sporting competition for wounded soldiers and war veterans. Meghan Markle's attendance has not yet been confirmed.

Harry and Archie could attend a wedding with William

Though it is reported that the Duchess of Sussex isn't keen on coming back to the UK, this doesn't seem to stop Prince Harry. And this time there might even be someone coming with him!

Prince Harry's latest failure in court over his security arrangements when returning to his native country is the perfect reason for the American ex-actress to stay in California. However, Prince Harry may bypass this rule for his son Archie. According to the Mirror, the little boy - who turns 5 on 6 May - could accompany Prince Harry on one of his future trips to England.

Lilibet's big brother left their home, Frogmore Cottage, when he was just a few months old. After a brief return for Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee, Prince Archie may now attend the wedding of his godfather Hugh Grosvenor, 7th Duke of Westminster, on 7 June. He could also meet up with his cousin Prince George, who is also the groom's godson. Hugh Grosvenor is a friend of Princes William and Harry. All the ingredients seem to be in place for the long-awaited reconciliation.
