Sarah Ferguson ‘will do all she can’
Despite being divorced, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson still share a home together. According to the Duchess of York’s friends, she wants to help her ex-husband so they can continue to afford to live in Royal Lodge.
A friend of Ferguson said, as reported by The Independent:
Sarah is going to try and raise the money he needs.

She and the girls want to do all they can to keep Andrew where he is as it is seen as a significant loss of status for him to lose his home.
The Duchess acknowledges the changes in reign also affect their lives and supports King Charles’ decisions. However, you can support decisions from others while still supporting those that it affects. The friend said:
She will do her level best to support Andrew through her entrepreneurial projects, her books and promotion work – she is going to be the financial saviour of Prince Andrew.

Sarah Ferguson couldn’t afford her second home
The Duchess of York may want to help Prince Andrew afford Royal Lodge but this could be harder than it looks as according to reports, Ferguson wasn’t able to afford her second home worth £4.3 million.
According to documents found by Daily Mail, Sarah Ferguson bought the home for £4.25 million without a mortgage. The document also allegedly states that the Duchess cannot sell the home without signed approval from her daughters, Princess Eugenie and Beatrice. This would suggest that the home was funded by the Princesses of York.
Another reason why it is rumoured that Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice funded the house purchase is that Ferguson has often complained about being on the brink of bankruptcy over the years. In a 2011 interview, Sarah Ferguson described herself as ‘continually on the verge of financial bankruptcy.’
