These rumours have been going around since Charles became King. They have resurfaced as it has been said that King Charles will stop funding Prince Andrew’s security at Royal Lodge, which he shares with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.

This news comes after new documents were released in the case against convicted paedophile, Jeffrey Epstein, which reportedly contain information about the Duke of York.

Prince Andrew won’t leave without a fight

As reported by Daily Mail, a source close to Prince Andrew revealed that the Duke of York has no plans on leaving Royal Lodge:

Andrew is going nowhere. He has a cast iron lease.

Indeed, King Charles has reportedly stopped funding his brother’s security, estimated to cost him over £3 million a year. It is thought that King Charles has cut his brother’s security fund to force Prince Andrew to ‘downsize’ as he has no income, as per Daily Mail.

Prince Andrew was rumoured to be offered Frogmore Cottage, which used to be Prince Harry and Meghan’s UK home until they were evicted in early 2023, but the disgraced Duke saw this as a ‘demotion too far’.

Prince William and Princess Kate are eyeing up Royal Lodge

A source has told Express that Prince William and Princess Kate are very supportive of King Charles’ decision to evict Prince Andrew as they have allegedly been eyeing up Royal Lodge.

The source explains that the Prince and Princess of Wales would like to live at Royal Lodge, as their current home, Adelaide Cottage is too small for their family:

It’s no secret that William and Kate have been trying to secure Royal Lodge for their family. They are in desperate need of a larger property to accommodate their household.
The wheels finally seem to be in motion to remove Andrew from the property which William and Kate welcome and support wholeheartedly.
