BBC bosses have picked 15 finest stars to take part in Telly’s most iconic dance competition. The lineup this year has the viewers filled be excitement as they look forward to seeing some of their favourite stars dance it out. While the show is still weeks away from starting, the first contestant to be booted from the show has already been revealed. Here’s how and why!

Les Dennis could be the first to get booted

According to The Mirror, bookies are predicting that the 69-year-old TV legend Les could be the first one to get booted from the show. Les is taking part on the show with the likes of Zara McDermott, Bobby Brazier, Ellie Leach and more. Les is very excited to be a part of the show, however, his excitement may be short-lived.

The bookies at Ladbrokes predict that amongst all the stars, Les would be the first to get evicted with a 33/1 chance of winning the show. Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said:

Bobby Brazier has stormed into the favourite spot in this year's Strictly betting after a flurry of interest from punters.

Bobby Brazier is at the odds of 7/2 to win the show. Alex added:

Les Dennis will take to the dancefloor as the rank outsider to go all the way, if he's up there come the end of the series, I'll give you the money myself.

Despite being 69, Les is not the oldest contestant in the lineup. Angela Rippon is the oldest in the lineup at the age of 78 years old.

The excitement surrounding Les Dennis’ participation on Strictly

Meanwhile, show bosses have anticipated much excitement for Les Dennis’ participation on the show. The TV Legend has been in the business for over 50 years now and has hosted Family Fortunes for 16 years.

He’s been a part of Extras, Brookside, Death in Paradise and Midsomer Murders and two years in Coronation Street. Bosses are confident he’ll be one of the most loved stars on the show. A source said:

The viewers are going to love Les. He is a TV icon and now he will be dancing on one of the most popular shows around.

He might be about to turn 70 but he is a showman and he will be great entertainment for those watching at home. There is genuine excitement about Les taking part.
