Born in Birkenhead on the Wirral Peninsula, Sally went to Upton Hall School FCJ. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts and French from the University of Huddersfield.

The sports enthusiast took over her BBC Breakfast role in October 2021 replacing Louise Minchin, confirmed GoodtoKnow. Initially Sally co-hosted the show with Dan Walker but ever since his exit, she’s doing her job alongside Jon Kay.

Wondering how much she gets paid? BBC previously revealed in its annual report that Sally Nugent's salary for 2022-2023 is between £178,000 - £184,999. The figure puts her in the same bracket as fellow TV presenters Clare Balding and Michael Vaughan.

My shoes are from Marks and Spencer and I guarantee the Chancellor earns more than me #Just Saying
