She was not the one to get oblivious, drowning in expensive champagne on nights out or making trouble by bringing her noisy, long-legged girlfriends home.

Melania’s former colleague Swedish model Victoria Silvstedt revealed key details of how it felt to share space with her. She said that the former First Ladywas 'the perfect roommate' who was mostly 'quiet' but dreamed big.

You can only marvel at how Melania Trump's 'quiet' determination that made her one of the most influential women in the world, who now has a massive personal net worth.

A lesson to take away, perhaps.

Melania Trump was a dream roommate

Mary Jordan’s book The Art of Her Deal published in 2020 revealed quite a few previously unknown details about Melania Trump’s character.

In this ‘scrupulously reported biography’ the author documented how the model had discussed being First Lady way before she became one and how she, despite the gloomy look and reserved attitude, encouraged Donald Trump to enter the race for president.

Melania Trump’s modelling career has always been a source of assumptions but despite what people may think she was not a typical girl in the industry.

Unlike her fellow beauty queens, she didn’t engage in wild parties or get herself in trouble with drug use or excessive alcohol consumption.

Melania Trump was, in fact, an exemplary roommate who worked hard and kept it to herself most of the time.

This is what it felt like to share a room with Melania Trump

Victoria Silvstedt, a Swedish model, actress, singer, and television personality who shared a living space with Melania in Paris, gave a detailed account of her experience.

The Scandinavian beauty queen who was the first runner-up in Miss Sweden 1993 and went on to represent her country in Miss World, admitted:

She was always very quiet.

Victoria Silvstedt said Melania was also 'clean', 'neat', 'domestic' and ‘the perfect roommate’.

The pair shared a sixth-floor walk-up apartment in the heart of Paris and spent a lot of time cooking and visiting museums.

The model detailed that they were keeping fit by running up and down the stairs in their building and mostly opting for simpler meals such as tuna salad.

She also revealed the former US First Lady’s style inspiration, adding:

I remember back then, she was telling me how ‘One day I would like to be like Sophia Loren,’. Obviously, she was her style icon.

Victoria Silvstedt believes that Melania Trump has been unfairly criticised in the media. She praised her former colleague’s 'class' and ability to stay calm in any situation.

Both models later moved to New York, and Silvstedt was named Playboy's ‘Playmate of the Year’ in 1997.

Other people in the industry agree that Melania Trump made a problem-less roommate.

She shared her first ‘small and cramped’ apartment in New York with a fashion photographer Matthew Atanian. But the size of their modest home was not an issue because Melania ‘never brought anyone home.’

A booker from the agency that organised Melania's US trip commented:

She wasn’t friends with anyone, and you have to understand how unusual that is.
