Melania Trump: A look at the former First Lady's style throughout the years

Donald Trump met Melanija Knavs at New York Fashion Week in 1998 and began dating soon after. In 2004, Trump proposed during the Met Gala with a 15-karat diamond ring. They got officially married in January of the following year. Their son Barron was born in 2006. In 2015, Trump announced that he was running for President, and Melania encouraged him.

As elections approached, controversy and allegations began to surround Donald Trump; a voice recording of him spewing misogynistic rhetoric was released to the public causing outrage in 2016. Despite this, he successfully became President, all while Stormy Daniels alleged that she had an affair with Trump, she also said that he paid her to keep quiet before the elections. Both claims were denied by Trump.

Throughout this tumultuous time, Melania Trump stood by her husband and presented a united front. She was able to navigate the turmoils of one of the most tumultuous Presidencies in recent times with grace and style.
