This past weekend the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards (a.k.a VMAs) held at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, had all of us judging and quickly googling our favourite artists. From the Oscars to the Emmys, we love to see who slayed on the red carpet and brought their A-game from designer labels to streetwear.

After 2 years of pandemic cancellations, it’s nice to see the return of red carpet fashion, so here’s a list of the best dressed celebs at the 2022 VMAs.
Lizzo
Lizzo brought the house down wearing a larger than life black rippled dress from Jean Paul Gaultier Couture paired with silver jewelry by Jennifer Fisher jewelry. Lizzo truly lived up to her nickname ‘Lizzo Bangers’ and won the VMA for 'video for good' for 'About Damn Time.' In her acceptance speech, Lizzo lived up to the name of the award as she urged everyone to:

Taylor Swift
In sizzling fashion, Taylor made sure to leave her mark on the runway, dazzling the crowd in a sleek diamond cut out piece by Oscar de la Renta. She took home the best-known prize of the night winning 'Video of Year' (VOTY) for 10 minute version of 'All Too Well'.
Jack Harlow
A classic French touch never hurt anyone and Jack Harlow understood this wearing an all black leather suit combo from Hermès. Harlow was nominated for VOTY for his pop hit 'Industry Baby' with Lil Nas X.
Lil Nas X
Now this is how you make an entrance. The pop-country-hip-hop artist looked like a ray of sunshine in an all black halo-like skirt and accessories by English designer Harris Reed. He was a front runner nominated for 'Artist of the Year'.
J Balvin
You can never go wrong with some L’s and V’s. Balvin kept it cool in a loose fitted blazer and wide pant combo by Louis Vuitton.
Anitta
Red will forever be a classy staple on the runway. The Brazilian pop star wowed in an asymmetrical sweetheart neckline dress in Italian haute couture by Schiaparelli. She took home the award for 'Best Latin Song'.
Chloe Bailey
The Beyonce prodigee, now an R&B solo artist, formerly one half of sister duo ‘Chloe x Halle’ made a striking appearance on the carpet with a silver bustier cut dress by Zigman.
Conan Gray
In yet another iconic fashion moment by designer Harris Reed, the 'Maniac' singer gave off Harry Style vibes in an embroidered body long top cover and sparkly Marc Jacobs platform boots for his first appearance at the VMAs
Black Pink
Showing off their personal styles at their first VMAs the K-pop sensations nominated for group of the year, each member coordinated all black looks from French designers with Lisa in Celine, Jisoo in Christian Dior, Jennie in Chanel and Roseé in Saint Laurent (from left to right).
