According to Page Six, Barron Trump recently had a date at Trump Tower, and for that, he shut down an entire floor of the building. While it may sound like a grand romantic gesture, the move was reportedly due to security concerns. A source told the publication:
The young scion, 19, is so well guarded that an entire floor was shut down for him to have the romantic meet-up.
Living in Washington, DC, for his studies, Barron returned to his family’s iconic skyscraper for the occasion. The New York Post had earlier reported that Barron currently resides at the White House while attending classes at NYU’s Washington, DC campus, which opened its academic year on 2 September.
Navigating college with Secret Service in tow
College life can be a whirlwind, but when you're the First Son, things get a bit more complex. Barron Trump recently completed his freshman year at NYU, where he reportedly made an impression both academically and socially. A fellow student told Page Six:
He’s tall and awkward, but he was the thing, the guy. He had a lot of girls running after him.
Despite his growing popularity, staying in touch with friends hasn’t been straightforward. Page Six previously reported that Barron cannot share his personal phone number, fearing it might leak. Instead, he connects with peers through Xbox's chat feature and Discord.
A source said, adding:
It’s his workaround. If people get the number, they would give it out and then a million people would be calling nonstop.
Romantic prospects haven’t been hindered either. A political source told PEOPLE that dating is still possible despite Secret Service presence:
