Meanwhile, Donald Trump has been vocally supportive of Barron in recent public appearances, often marvelling at his height and athleticism.
With Melania focused on his safety and Donald touting his potential, the spotlight on Barron has only grown brighter as he steps into a critical phase of young adulthood.
Melania's protective streak over Barron Trump continues
As reported by People Magazine, Melania Trump is said to be 'constantly' watching over Barron as he continues his studies at NYU's Stern School of Business.
A political source told the publication:
Melania watches Barron constantly in an effort to be sure nobody messes with him or bullies him, as this is a constant worry with her.
She always knows where he is and what he's doing.
Barron's start at NYU in 2024 coincided with a particularly eventful moment for the Trump family, as his father was embarking on his third presidential campaign. While his first year included the usual mix of lectures, assignments and social introductions, it also unfolded against the backdrop of Donald Trump's election victory and subsequent inauguration.
According to People, Melania was keen to create a secure environment for her son, keeping him out of dormitory housing and instead settling him at Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan. A source said at that time:
She will do everything she can to make sure Barron does well in school and is socially and mentally adjusted to his life as a college student.
They also added that dorm living wasn't 'in the stars' for Barron 'at this point.'
Even while she divides her time between personal projects, travel and public duties, Melania's attention often circles back to Barron and his well-being.
Donald Trump talks up Barron's talents and height
While Melania prefers a protective and private approach, Donald Trump has been far more vocal about his youngest child.
During a White House meeting with FIFA president Infantino, as reported by Financial Express, the US president shifted the conversation toward Barron while holding the World Cup trophy. He shared:
My son is a very good athlete.
This came before he pointed out his son's remarkable 6ft 9in stature. Acknowledging Barron's height might make soccer a challenge, he said:
He's on the tall side, but it's good
Before adding, he's a 'good soccer player.'
Beyond sport, however, Barron's ambitions appear to be different. A source told People that he 'is interested in business in general, developing properties, making money and being involved in successful projects.'
The source added that Barron is 'quite entrepreneurial, bright and not shy about getting his own career in gear,' suggesting that his future may lie more in boardrooms than on playing fields.
