Britney Spears announced her pregnancy earlier last month and she has now lost her baby in the early weeks of her pregnancy.

In an Instagram post last month, Britney confirmed that she was expecting a baby. On April 11, she took to her Instagram and told people about the happy news. However, the celebration didn’t last that long as she shared another traumatic news today.

No miracle baby

Britney posted an all-text post on her Instagram account and informed her 41m followers about her tragic loss. Britney and Sam had been trying to have a baby since December last year. So, when in April she confirmed that she was pregnant, it was a miracle for the 40-year-old pop star. In a sorrowful Instagram message, the singer stated that she will continue to ‘try and extend her family’ with Sam Asghari. She wrote:

It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce we lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy. This is a devastating time for any parent.

Accepting that she might have made a mistake announcing the pregnancy early on, she added:

Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along, however, we were overly excited to share the good news.

We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family.

Additionally, she also captioned the post stating:

We are grateful for what we have in the process of expanding our beautiful family. Thank you for your support.

Devastating times

This would have been her third kid, as she already has two sons with her ex-husband Kevin Federline – 16-year-old Sean and 15-year-old Jayden. Britney has 30 per cent custody of her two sons and pays child support to her ex-husband Kevin. Amidst this Sam commented on the post:

We will have a miracle soon.

In 2016, Sam and Britney co-starred in a music video for her single Slumber Party. Spears has begun referring to her 28-year-old lover as her husband after announcing their engagement late last year.
