Selena Gomez Jumps To Defend Justin’s Wife

Selena Gomez’s fans had been waiting for her to release a new song for four whole years and then finally, on 23rd October, her new single Lose You To Love Me came out. This song caused a lot of excitement among fans because it seemed to be about her relationship with her ex, Justin Bieber.

The end of a breakup

‘I needed to hate you to love me,’ sounds quite similar to her unhealthy relationship with the singer famous for ‘Baby’. A relationship that the young singer didn’t get over for a long time. But now, it seems that she has learned from her experiences and has been able to grow, as she puts it in the lyrics of her song: ‘I needed to lose you to find me’.

Although Hailey Baldwin isn’t mentioned in the song at all, some of Selena Gomez’s fans have said that there is jealousy hidden between the lines of her lyrics. In her Instagram story, the model posted a song shortly after entitled ‘I’ll Kill You’, which many of her fans saw as a declaration of war on the singer.

Calming words

To put an end to the rumours and attacks directed at Hailey Baldwin, the former Disney Channel star took to Instagram and posted a live video on the matter.

‘I am grateful for the response that the song is getting. However, I do not stand for women tearing women down and I will never ever be by that,’ she explained in her video, continuing by saying ‘So please be kind to everyone.’

Nevertheless, the singer, who is finally making her comeback after going through some health problems, hopes that her ex Justin hears her song, as she revealed in an interview.

‘Yeah, I do [want him to hear it]. And here’s the whole point: being able to say something on your own and being able to say something that actually is beautiful.’ It seems there are no ulterior motives behind it though:

‘For me, my intentions are never evil. They just aren’t. I don’t even know how to do that. I can be a bit snappy, but I always want to come from a place that’s genuine, and when I feel like some things haven’t been said then I get to turn that into art.’

Whether Justin has heard the song yet or not is still unclear. But according to her fans, Selena’s musical comeback has been a complete success regardless of this, since her song has received more than 76 million views on YouTube.
