Love Island's Luke Mabbott and Lucie Donlan just got engaged

Love Island wedding alert! Winter Love Island favourite Luke Mabbott and Love Island 2019 star Lucie Donlan have just got engaged. Luke shared the happy news on Instagram with a selfie of himself and Lucie kissing beneath the Northern Lights in Finland—and a dazzling ring on Lucie’s finger.

They received well-wishes from plenty of their former Love Island co-stars, including Ovie Soko, Rebecca Gormley, Biggs Chris and Maura Higgins from Lucie’s series and Sophie Piper, Nas Majeed, Eva Zapico, Finley Tapp and Jess Gale from Luke’s Love Island year.

While Lucie and Luke both got their big break on Love Island, their relationship didn’t start in the villa. Lucie appeared on Love Island in the summer of 2019, while Luke was part of the Winter Love Island cast at the beginning of 2020. Lucie’s main relationship in the villa was with Joe Garratt, and they rekindled their romance on the outside. However, they split at the end of 2019 after just a few months of dating.

Meanwhile, Luke made it to the finals of Winter Love Island coupled up with Demi Jones. Their relationship ended in May 2020 and Luke and Lucie began seeing each other the following month. This led to a bit of drama between the three of them, but since then Luke and Lucie’s relationship appears to have gone from strength to strength.

Earlier this year, Luke and Lucie took a big step by adopting a puppy together—a Labrador/Romanian Shepherd named Bunny. With their love of animals and the outdoors (as well as posing for Instagram) they really do seem like a match made in heaven. Congratulations, Lucie and Luke!
