19-year-old Bulgarian X Factor star Gery Nikol found this out the hard way when she and a friend were reportedly arrested by French police after twerking under the Eiffel Tower whilst on holiday in Paris this week.
Gery was reportedly dared to do the dance in the middle of the road by her friends but was arrested for 'violating public order' just after finishing her performance. The two women were apparently questioned by police and fined an undisclosed sum before being released.
Still - it seems Gery reckons it was worth it as she later posted the video of the twerk routine to her 300,000 Instagram followers with the caption 'The location does not matter.' Bold.
UPDATE: Gery Nikol has since hit back at claims that she and her friend were arrested, slamming the 'fake news' and saying she would not have published the video if it were really in violation of the law.
