There's A Reason You Haven't Been Able To Recreate This Kind Of Insta Pose

If you’re looking for a perfect Instagram picture, Murad Osmann has probably got it on his Instagram. A perfect mixture of a pretty girl and a dreamlike landscape. It has become his trademark - his wife, Nataly Osmann, turns her back onto him and poses holding his hand, and you can only see his arm. He takes the picture and in front of his wife there is a breathtaking view. Dubai, Bali, Marrakech... they travel the world together in search of a perfect picture.

He’s a photographer, she’s a model. Together they created ‘#Followmeto’ – a jewelry line that’s showcased on their hands on each of their pictures. But it’s not what you notice at first when you look at the picture, it’s the beauty of the view. It’s a lot of work to take one picture, as Murad explains to Telegraph: ‘It actually takes quite some time to prepare for the shoots, on the shoot the process can either be fast, but if we are at a location with millions of tourists or we take some time it can be around an hour. (...) If you look at our picture of Taj Mahal, you won’t really be able to see people there, but because of the square format of the image – I cropped them out. Our friends were holding the crowd on both sides so that we could take the shot.’

Also, the perfect picture has to be taken early... very early in the morning: ‘You have to be ready to put all your energy into what you are doing. And you should be ready to live in airports, trains, buses and cars because it is all about moving from one place to another.’ Once the pictures have been taken, they have to be retouched, so they are, of course, edited. It’s just a reminder that social media don’t always reflect reality!
