“Two-thirds of the roof of the Notre Dame has been severely damaged,” clarified General Jean-Claude Gallet, commander of the Paris Fire Brigade. The line that it was an accident seems to be favoured and an inquiry has been launched. But one thing is sure; the two belfries have been saved, as well as the collection of artworks that were part of its “treasure”.
