As one of the early fans of J.K. Rowling’s books, Kyle Hubler, a young teacher of the 7th and 8th grade in Oregon (United States), decided to surprise his students when they returned after the holidays. He decorated his classroom like one from Hogwarts.

‘I love Harry Potter because of the impact it had on me as a kid. Being a kid can be tough sometimes – there were times when I felt weird and that I didn’t belong to any circle of friends, and reading the books was a way to escape that and feel like I did belong,’ Hubler told HuffPost US.

‘The lessons in the books about acceptance, loyalty and integrity stayed with me and inform a lot of the philosophy I haven in my approach to teaching,’ he added.

It took 70 hours in total for Kyle to transform his classroom, with the addition of personal objects similar to those from the Harry Potter universe. A really good idea that we bet his students loved when they came back to school after the holidays.
