Channel 4's The Undateables follows singletons with various disabilities and learning difficulties as they search for 'the one'. The show was given its name to highlight how various challenging conditions can make it difficult for some to find love. Whilst some have criticised the show for its title, others argue that it helps challenge misconceptions about people with disabilities.

The show interestingly depicts the complications, challenges as well as achievments, growth and understanding that couples involved can face. More importantly, it brings important ideas about those with disabilities to light, allowing them to project their voice in a beautiful, intriguing and entertaining way. It has also led to some happy endings - and even a baby!

So, where are they now?

Challis and Brent

Brent, who has Tourette's syndrome, called Challis a 'b****' and a 's***head' on their first date but that didn't stop them falling head over heels in love. Challis was able to see past Brent's tics and they tied the knot in Vegas just one year later, in 2015.

Today, the couple are still going strong and plan on having children one day. Challis is sure Brent will be 'the best dad ever.'

Dean and Carolyne

Carolyne, who woke up paralysed one morning after a blood vessel burst in her back while she slept, has welcomed a baby boy, Declan, with Dean, whom she met on the first series of the show.

Bethany and Tom

Whilst Bethany, who has Down syndrome, didn't find love with any of her dates on the show she has now found her perfect match with Tom, who got in touch after he spotted her on TV.

Tom, who also has Down syndrome as well as autism, fell for Bethany and when they met up, the feeling was mutual. The couple love theatre, going out to the cinema and going out for dinner. Bethany describes Tom as 'kind, gentle and romantic' as well as 'handsome' and 'a great kisser!'

Steve and Vicky

Steve, who has a rare genetic condition called Crouzon syndrome, which affects the shape of his head and face, was another who didn't find love on the show. However, Vicky got in touch with him after seeing him on the show and the pair fell totally in love. They got married in 2015 and are still going strong today. Steve has even said that Vicky wants to have 10 kids!

Matty and Christina

It seems Christina's love life ambition to find her man before she turns 30 did indeed come true - when Matty came into her life when she turned 29. The lovely couple are still together. Isn't that just meant to be? Christina said in the show, "I want to find a man before my 30th birthday. I want him inside the cake and he pops out and says 'happy birthday, I'm your boyfriend'." We're hoping Matty brought the equivalent amount of joy to her, and who knows? Maybe he did jump out of a birthday cake for her...
