He may not have found lasting love with India Reynolds on last summer’s series of Love Island, but 29-year-old basketball player Ovie Soko placed himself firmly in the nation’s hearts with his brilliant sense of humour, kind personality and, erm, the fact that he’s absolutely drop-dead gorgeous.

Now, Ovie has revealed that he’s working on a brand new adventure – as he’s currently in the process of writing his own book! Titled ‘You Are Dope’, Ovie’s book is all about self-love in the age of social media and is set to be published by Quadrille Books in October this year.
Revealing the news on Instagram, Ovie said:
I wrote this book because I see how difficult loving yourself is in this Social Media Era. It’s not easy being a young man and it can’t be easy for the ladies. We scroll through the gram and life everyday and what we DONT have is always pushed in our face. I wrote this book for you. To remind you what you do have. And I PROMISE you, when you realise what you DO have, and how dope you really are, everything else won’t seem to matter so much. 🤘❤️
It sounds like this is going to be a must-read – especially in these difficult times. Ovie isn’t the first former Love Islander to have their own book published. Series 4 winner Dani Dyer penned her own guide to life in 2019 – entitled ‘What Would Dani Do?’ whilst ever-popular series 3 star Chris Hughes wrote an autobiography entitled ‘You Bantering Me?’ back in 2018.
