Maura Higgins Teases Love Island Return

One of Love Island's biggest-ever characters, Maura Higgins, has suggested that she could become the first ever Islander to return to the villa for a second chance at finding love. Will we be seeing Maura back on our screens when series seven eventually arrives?

We all know by now that Love Island sadly won't be coming back this summer. But with hopes high for a new series next winter, producers are going to be looking to make the next season of the show bigger and better than ever.

And what better way than by bringing back one of the show's most controversial bombshells? So far, no contestant has ever appeared on more than one series of the show - but series 5 star Maura has said she's up for a return.

Chatting to her fans on Instagram this week, the Irish stunner responded to a question about returning to the Love Island villa by saying: 'Well to be honest I need a man. So maybe I’ll go back in next year, you never know.'

Maura has been single since her split at the beginning of March from ex Curtis Pritchard, who she met in the villa last summer. She's since been dogged by rumours about her relationship with Dancing On Ice partner Alex Demetriou, which she's flatly denied.

Could we really be seeing Maura return to the villa once again? Whilst she's certainly popular with many viewers, there's a chance producers wouldn't want her back - as she's admitted to breaking villa rules and drinking too much off-camera…
