Love Island's Bieber Lookalike Luke Mabbott Was Contacted By The Singers Dad

Luke Mabbott quickly gained popularity after appearing on the latest series of Love Island, not only winning the hearts of fans through his relationship with Demi Jones, but also for his uncanny resemblance to 'Baby' singer Justin Bieber.

During an interview with Metro, the young model was asked if any celebs at reached out to him following his stardom since his appearance on the hit ITV show. Initially, he had insisted that no one had been reaching out to him until he remembered one very notable DM from a certain celeb.

Oh actually, yeah. Yeah, a really famous one, a really famous one.

The interviewer then asked if it was Justin Bieber, to which he replied:

His dad, yeah! I totally forgot about that.

He continued by elaborating on their brief conversation via social media:

He commented on my photo… I can’t remember what he said, it was something like: “This is like watching my lad”… “Humble character” or something like that.

He continued on to say that they talked a little bit, but the young star was still slightly in shock and not able to believe it and couldn't really understand why. We're sure some are wondering what the real Bieber might think of his dad reaching out to his lookalike, either way, the comments seemed genuine and we're sure Justin appreciated them.

He was later asked about his relationship with Demi Jones to which he stated they were still going strong. Unfortunately, the two have been forced apart due to the restrictions set in place by the coronavirus. He mentioned that they haven't seen each other in a while:

We haven’t seen each other for quite a while now, which is hard, I think a lot of relationships are finding it hard But we still talk and we still FaceTime and stuff, so it’s not like we’re not in contact at all.

He did go on to state that they didn't consider themselves to be 'dating' at the moment but they plan to get together as soon as the lockdown is lifted and see where things go from there.
