In a bombshell teaser posted on the Love Island YouTube page ahead of tonight's episode (19 August), it looks like things are about to get real in the villa tonight.
In tonight's episode, the six remaining couples fighting for the crown are whisked away from the villa for a romantic date night. But it looks like not everyone will be enjoying the magical evening planned for the remaining contestants...
Liberty seen having a breakdown
In the teaser, Liberty is seen hiding in a corner of the villa by herself, in the midst of a complete breakdown. She tells another Love Islander:
I just gotta be true to myself and I can't do this.
If I'm giving someone 100% energy and I'm not getting some in return, then I'd rather walk out here with my head held high.
I can't be fake and pretend like I'm happy with someone when I'm not.
You may remember that Jake and Liberty are the only original couple still together from day one. For a long time, they were the favourites to win the show, but the bookies' tables have turned and Toby and Chloe seemed to have completely won over the public's heart.
Support pours in for Liberty
While those rooting for Jiberty are probably not looking forward to watching tonight's episode, it seems like Liberty's fans support—and even applaud—her decision to end things with Jake. One viewer wrote:
This how you can tell Liberty is genuine. You see most of us (including me) will be holding in those doubts until 2 days after the final and potential £50k.
And another one chimed in:
The preview for tomorrow shows how genuine Liberty is. Who else would doubt their relationship days before the final.
This reaction from her fans doesn't come as a surprise, as previous reports have stated that fans thought Jake was fake—especially when he dropped the L-bomb on Liberty, which just did not seem genuine. Maybe Liberty finally realised it too?
The suspense is killing us, but we'll have to wait until tonight to find out what really happened in the villa. With just 4 days until the end of this season of Love Island, things are sure to get heated.
