Laura Whitmore will be back on our screens as the host of Love Island next week, with the show returning to ITV2 on Monday 28 June. While Laura is clearly passionate about the show, she’s revealed this week that there’s one bit she doesn’t enjoy filming: the aftermath of Casa Amor.

The hardest part of Love Island

In an interview with ITV, Laura admitted:

I find it really hard. I found it really hard after Casa Amor. Last year when I knew Callum was coming back with Molly and I had to walk in there, and I saw Shaughna… I knew he’s walking in with another girl.

She continued:

All I wanted to say was run… but obviously I can’t do that. Even my eyes… I couldn’t look her in the eye. But I found that really hard, as she ended up picking nobody and I was thinking, ‘Pick somebody!’ But I’m not allowed to say that, obviously.

Will Casa Amor return in 2021?

Casa Amor has been a fan favourite part of Love Island since series 3 back in 2017. It’s seen some of the most explosive moments in Love Island history occur—like when Jack Fincham’s ex Ellie turned up in Casa Amor while he was coupled up with Dani Dyer or when Michael Griffiths betrayed Amber Gill by bringing Joanna Chimonides back with him to the main villa.

There’s no official confirmation yet that Casa Amor will be back for Love Island 2021. Back in May, the villa that’s been used for Casa Amor in the past was pictured looking eerily quiet. That being said, we’d be very surprised if producers didn’t bring back Casa Amor this year as it’s always so popular with fans. In previous series, Casa Amor has happened on Day 26 so we reckon we could be seeing the return of Casa Amor in the last couple of weeks of July this year.
