Keep it out of the sun

If you don’t care for the heat from the sun, your phone doesn’t either. According to lifehacker.com, the direct sunlight is just as bad for your smartphone as it is for your skin.

Full isn’t always better

We all like to see a full battery icon on our phones, but experts say, if you are constantly seeking that 100% mark, you are reducing the battery’s lifespan. According to Next Pit, your phone is more likely to overheat when it’s at full charge. Also, when you are charging your phone overnight (which you shouldn’t be doing in the first place), put it on a flat surface instead of your pillow or the bed.

Not in use? Close it

The average attention span in humans is eight seconds so, yeah, no one judges you for hopping between apps. But just as you wouldn’t want to leave all the lights on in your home when they are not needed, so too should you close the apps you are not using. You may not be on them, but they keep running in the background unless you close them.
