Often described as gifted, Greg learnt the entire primary school program within a year. He was learning alongside much older students without feeling at all out of place.

Now in his late 20's, Greg Smith is still just as smart. He became a researcher at Mount Sinai’s Icahn School of Medicine in New York and is studying stochastic genes. Whilst on the Oprah Winfrey show, the young man referred back to his earlier years at university, where he only has good memories. “I had loads of friends at University and used to hang out with lots of people from my class”, says Greg Smith. “We were all different ages, but we liked the same things like sports, going out and having a good time”.

Nowadays, he devotes himself to his research and works on creating better medicine to treat cancer.
