On his way home from Afghanistan, Lieutenant John Rader was fined $ 200 by United Airlines. The soldier had to pay for his baggage, which included his boots, two helmets and his bulletproof vest at El Paso airport, in Texas.

According to channel Fox 7, the man had just served 21 months in Afghanistan. Regarding the military in service, United Airlines estimates that soldiers are entitled to five pieces of luggage not exceeding 32 kilos each.
John Rader had only one bag... but the luggage weighed more than 32 kilos because of his military equipment. That's why he had to pay a $ 200 fine to the American airline. On Tuesday, May 16, United Airlines announced in a statement that they would reimburse John Rader. While satisfied with the company's recent statements, John Rader believes there are changes that need to be made to the baggage policy for the military.
