A baby's first steps into the world are a very special and exciting moment. However, baby Isabella appeared to be very angry with the doctors who helped her come out of her mama's belly.
Isabella Pereira de Jesus was born by C-section on February 13, at a hospital in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her parents, Daiane de Jesus Barbosa and her husband, hired a professional photographer, Rodrigo Kunstmann, to capture this special moment.
It's common for doctors to encourage babies to cry at birth, to see if their lungs work properly. However, when the obstetrician tried to make Isabella cry, the baby was not at all interested and the look of displeasure on her face said it all.
The photographer told the Brazilian magazine Crescer how he managed to take the viral photo:
'She opened her eyes wide, but did not cry. The doctor even had to say, 'cry, Isa!' She made that serious expression and only started crying after the umbilical cord was cut.'
The mother told Brazilian media outlet G1 how proud she was of her daughter. 'My baby was born brave,' said the proud mother. She also told them that she always frowns when she's getting her diaper changed or being breastfed.
Welcome to the world, baby Isabella!
