This Was Prince William’s Secret Mission For The British Intelligence Services

Prince William spent three weeks with the British intelligence services, and he seemed to have impressed his superiors! According to Kensington Palace, which disclosed this information on Sunday, April 7th, the Duke of Cambridge was immersed in MI6, MI5 and GCHQ.

In the first agency, he was able ‘to see how the secret services help the United Kingdom to identify (...) the risks related to national security.’ The prince then spent a week with MI5 where he ‘worked alongside anti-terrorist teams to see how they conduct their investigations,’ said Kensington Palace. He ended this week-long experience within the GCHQ, specialised in the fight against cyberattacks (see the video above).

A not unknown world

‘Spending time in our security and intelligence agencies and understanding more about their vital contribution to our national security is a lesson in humility. (...) These agencies are full of people from ordinary backgrounds who are doing extraordinary work to keep us safe,’ commented the prince in an official statement, picked up by the Huffington Post.

According to Kensington Palace, the temporary colleagues of the Duke of Cambridge were impressed by his ‘intelligence.’ They also emphasised his ability to integrate within the teams. This world is not altogether unknown to Prince William, who spent seven years in the army.
