This Was Prince Charles' Surprising Reaction To Diana's Death

Upon discovering the remains of his ex-wife after her tragic death, Prince Charles apparently had a very surprising reaction, which years later, still raises questions...

On 31 August, 1997, Princess Diana lost her life in a fatal car accident under the Alma Bridge in Paris. Immediately warned - in the night - of the death of the mother of his children, Prince Charles - against the opinion of the Queen - decided to go to France the same day to personally take care of repatriating his ex-wife's body.

In his book ‘Who Killed Lady Di’, Jean-Michel Caradec'h gives details on how the future King of England - who was the first member of the British delegation to enter the morgue at the Hospital Pitié-Salpêtrière - reacted when he discovered the body of the princess that day.

‘Discovering that the princess was wearing only one earring, [he] was outraged at this improper decorum,’ says the writer in his book, who also points out that when the Prince came out of the room a dozen minutes later, the hospital staff noticed that he was visibly shaken ‘with tears in his eyes’.
