Behaviour which has put distance between them and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Yet only a few months ago, Lady Di's youngest son still got on well with his brother, Prince William, and Kate Middleton.
So has Prince Harry changed following his marriage to the former Suits actress? In an interview with Page Six, Durcan Larcombe, a specialist in the British royal family, revealed that he had found the Duke of Sussex to be transformed following his union with the 37-year-old American.
‘He did not take himself seriously before. Now, he does.’
'He has become quite grumpy and distant from his own circle of acquaintances. What people like about Harry is that he wears his heart on his sleeve. He is an ordinary man trapped in the royal world. He did not take himself seriously before. Now, he does,’ said the journalist, as quoted by Closer.
Durcan Larcombe also believes that Prince Harry is much less friendly than before with the press. ‘In the past, he was a good friend and invited the press to tea in South Africa or to spend a night in a New York bar. But now, things are very different,’ he added, referring to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s recent tour of Oceania.
Should we not rather see this distance as a sign of maturity, since Prince Harry is preparing to be a dad and start a new life? In addition, during this trip, Lady Di's son was probably concerned about Meghan Markle’s wellbeing, with whom he was extremely helpful.
