It has now been revealed that the Queen refused an official photo with her great-granddaughter.

The reason why the Queen refused a photo with Lilibet
While it was thought the Duke and Duchess of Sussex introduced their daughter to the Queen after the Trooping ceremony, according to The Telegraphthey actually flew into Farnborough airport the day before and went straight to the Sovereign’s private apartments. The couple apparently wanted to bring their own private photographer to capture Lilibet’s first time meeting the Queen.
However, it has now been revealed that the Queen ‘personally intervened’ to refuse an official image being taken of her and her great-granddaughter. The sovereign allegedly informed the couple that she had a bloodshot eye and did not wish to appear in any images for public consumption.

Netflix fears
Aides apparently expressed fears that publicising a private meeting could set a risky precedent, especially if the photographs were shared with US media or Netflix. Harry and Meghan have a £120 million contract with the company, who followed them to the Netherlands for the Invictus Games. It has previously been revealed that the couple’s Netflix crew was stopped from filming during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
While they may not have succeeded this time, it is believed that Prince Harry expressed a desire to get an official photograph of the pair together sometime in the future.
