The Queen is looking for another new assistant

The Queen’s royal household has recently announced that they are looking for a Design and Development Assistant for the Royal Collection Trust shop based at their Stoke-on-Trent office.

The Royal Collection Trust team operate stores at the Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle as well as Palace of Holyroodhouse. Not to mention the store is also gaining a bit of a following online.

What does the job entail?

The job description states that they are looking for someone to ‘support the design, development and planning of the production of items.’

The royal job post states that the right applicant will be someone with a ‘relevant degree or experience’, who has hopefully spent some time in retail, and can help provide ‘admin and logistical support to the team, help place and oversee regular orders of stock, packaging and gift boxes, bringing all the components of a product together, ready to send out to the shops.’ The description continued:

You'll also learn how to monitor stock effectively, ensuring that we can fulfil orders and forecast future demand, especially important for our limited edition chinaware ranges. You'll help ensure that delivery deadlines are met and that our shops are always fully stocked. As a key point of contact, you'll handle a variety of queries for the team, and support the Head of Central Retail and Buyer directly, stretching your knowledge further.

The perfect person for the job will be someone who isn’t scared of working with numbers and has some great computer skills. It also wouldn’t hurt to have strong attention to detail and organisation skills as well.

The right applicant will receive a permanent full-time contract with a salary that could reach up to £23,000 per year depending on experience. So, if you think you have what it takes to handle the royal family’s very own store, then make sure you apply here… And be quick! Applications are only being accepted until the end of the month!
