'A slip of the tongue'

Prince William attended Wimbledon on Tuesday, July 5 to watch British No.1 Cameron Norrie play on centre court in a quarter-final match against Belgian David Goffin. He sat in the Royal Box with his wife Kate Middleton. The Duchess of Cambridge is a patron of the All England Club and frequently attends Wimbledon. They were joined by Kate's parents Carole and Michael Middleton.

After Norrie lost a point to Goffin, the BBC coverage cut to the Prince, who shook his head and seemingly muttered 'No, no, no, f***' while adjusting his tie. As reported by Express, Twitter users were quick to react, one user @rorowilic writing:

Duke [of] Cambridge had his moment like the rest of us a slip of the tongue.

'He's human'

Another person, @julsweav, tweeted: 'Can't be unseen! So glad he's human.' While @royalimposters described the clip as 'iconic.'

Norrie eventually came back from behind to win the match and progress to the semi-final. He will play against World No.3 Novak Djokovic.

The royal couple tweeted a picture of Norrie pumping his fist on the court, with the caption: 'What a match! Just brilliant @cam-norrie.' They tweeted later: 'What a day of tennis! Fantastic to be back @Wimbledon today and wonderful to see @Cam-Norrie flying the flag in the singles!'
