The Duke of Cambridge has just committed to a royal event in New Zealand, which will take place at the end of April. A trip related to the attacks that took place in Christchurch on March 15 which he will attend "in the name of Queen Elizabeth II". The sovereign wanted to stay in London with her family.
A tribute to the name of the queen
During his official visit, Prince William "will meet the people affected by the Christchurch attack and pay tribute to the extraordinary compassion and solidarity shown by the people of New Zealand over the last few weeks," said Kensington Palace. The attack, committed against two mosques in the country, took the lives of 51 people.
