Prince Harry 'making sure she's protected'

He said in the interview with Hoda Kotb in The Hague, The Netherlands:

She's always got such a great sense of humour with me and I'm just making sure she's protected and got the right people around her.

The Duke of Sussex did not elaborate on his meaning during the clip. But the comments follow his and Meghan's tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, when Harry claimed that the Queen, aka the 'head of The Firm,' is poorly advised by those around her.

The Prince said:

When you’re head of The Firm there is people around you that give you advice. And what has also made me really sad is some of that advice has been really bad.

Is Harry trying to protect the Queen from Prince Andrew?

There have been concerns recently about Prince Andrew's influence on the Queen. For example, The Daily Mail reported that Prince Andrew strong-armed the Queen in regards to his presence at Prince Philip’s memorial.

According to The Mirror, Prince Charles and Prince William raised concerns 'on more than one occasion' about allowing the shamed Duke of York to accompany his mother to the Westminster Abbey service.

The future kings were 'absolutely united' that it was 'simply unnecessary' for Andrew to escort the Queen to the church. However, Andrew allegedly 'insisted' on playing a leading role in the ceremony and the Queen 'couldn't say no to her favourite son.'

Charles and William were 'shocked' and 'dismayed' that the Duke was 'front and centre'at the service, hoping that 'common sense' would prevail.

Nigel Cawthorne, author of Prince Andrew: Epstein, Maxwell and the Palace, told Newsweek

Andrew is obviously pushing himself to the fore. It seems that Charles and William weren't particularly pleased.

There are now fears that Andrew will use his appearance as a 'mission creep' to return to public life or a 'springboard' to attend the Queen'sPlatinum Jubilee. Is Prince Andrew the person Harry is trying to protect the Queen from?
