Just 'like everyone else'

In the images, the Sussex family sits on the edge of the footpath watching the parade. Meghan wears black skinny jeans and a white top, accessorised with huaraches and a brown wide-brimmed straw hat. Harry wears grey and dons a khaki green cap.

Meanwhile, Archie wears a blue striped shirt, pale blue pants, and a red, white, and blue cap emblazoned with California's Bear Flag – a nod to the family's home in Montecito, California. He can be seen sucking on a lollipop and holding an American flag.

A striking resemblance can be seen between the Duke of Sussex and his son, notably their matching red locks. Deborah Mills Wall, a bystander who observed the family, said:

Harry and Meghan were just sitting down like everyone else, enjoying the show. They were very down to earth and very normal.
You could tell it was all about Archie for them. They were doting on him, playing with him. He was so cute and well mannered. And he looked thrilled with his lollipop.

'A perfect gentleman'

She added:

They didn't stay too long as I think Meghan wanted to get Archie out of the sun. It was an opportune exit as just after they left people started spraying the crowd with water jets.
An older lady had asked Harry if she could sit in one of their chairs and he said yes, of course, being a perfect gentleman.
Funnily enough, the lady happened to be British and she explained to Harry that she and her husband had moved to Jackson Hole two years earlier and loved it. They told Harry he should think about moving there.

Royal expert Daniela Elser pointed out the difference between these images and those of the Cambridge's children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. She wrote in the New Zealand Herald:

The shots in and of themselves are not that remarkable – a very cute little boy sucking a lollipop while watching a parade, Meghan casually but chicly dressed and Harry doing his usual impression of a hirsute thundercloud.
But it's the fact that the shots themselves were even taken that is significant here.
Ask yourself this: Have you ever seen similar images crop up of William and Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's children?
