What an infamous couple! Since their relationship became official, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry haven't ceased to be in the spotlight. Their every move is scrutinised by the world's press, which has led to some scandals. To the great despair of Elizabeth II.
The family, who now live in the United States, are expecting their second child, a baby girl. Her arrival, so eagerly awaited by their few British fans, is likely to be decisive within the Royal family...
Meghan and Harry: their daughter's name will be decisive!
As with every royal pregnancy, the media mostly relies on extrapolations. It was already so with Meghan Markle in 2019, when her son Archie was born. Like her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, the world wondered what the newborn would be called.
Speculation is rife again this year: what will Meghan and Harry's daughter be called?
In order to 'rebuild a bridge with the Queen' they could name their child Lily or Lilibeth. Why? Because Lily is the affectionate nickname that the late Prince Philip gave to his wife, Queen Elizabeth II.
Perhaps this gesture will help the couple reconnect with the British royal family?
A 'risky' pregnancy for Meghan Markle
While England paid tribute to the late Prince Philip on Saturday 17 April, Meghan Markle was in her villa in the United States. She left her husband, Harry, alone to travel to England for the funeral, claiming to have received an order from her doctor. The latter had advised her not to fly because of her 'risky pregnancy.'
Despite her unfortunate absence, the ex-actress nevertheless paid tribute to Prince Phillip, in her own way, by writing him a tender letter, which was deposited near his tomb. This was a nice touch from the American-come-royalty.
