The Duchess took part in CBeebies’ Bedtime Stories to mark Children’s Mental Health Week. Indeed The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark by Jill Tomlinson, is a great choice to highlight mental health. Kate looked cosy and laid-back dressed in jeans and a £179 Fair Isle Jumper as she was surrounded by a wooded area with a cup of hot chocolate.

The mother of three read the tale of the baby barn owl Plop accompanied by two soft toy owls. As she finished the story, Kate added ‘Wow, what an encouraging tale.’

We can all feel scared sometimes just like our little owl friend Plop, but as Mrs Barn Own said, ‘It’s better to find out about the things that scare us before we make up our mind’.

The Duchess admitted that she chose The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark by Jill Tomlinson as she loves to read it to her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, but also as it matches this year’s theme of Growing Together.
