One company which is going above and beyond to ensure the public hop on board, is the river travel company MBNA Thames Clipper. Following the announcement, they have decided to grant free travel to all those who can prove that they share the name of the newborn!

All the Archies will will take the free trip while taking in the historical landmarks including the Houses of parliament, St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Tower of London. Perhaps a new Guinness World Record will be set for how many Archies travelled along the River Thames in the same boat!

The name itself, Archie, has generated much speculation regarding the meaning behind the careful selection. The name means “true and bold” and fits well with the modern style of the Duke and Dutchess. Despite this many have speculated that the name references both parents. Archie is a close acronym of Meghan’s original name Rachel, and Harrison meaning Harry’s son. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced the name via their Instagram page.
