The Duchess of Cornwall has had to back out of the Cheltenham trip that was planned today amid health concerns. Indeed Camilla contracted COVID-19 at the end of February, a few days after Prince Charles tested positive for the second time.
Camilla cancels her trip to Cheltenham Festival
Today the Duchess of Cornwall was supposed to attend the Cheltenham Festival, which is a horse racing festival.
Daily Express royal correspondent, Richard Palmer, wrote on Twitter:
The Duchess of Cornwall had been due to attend the Cheltenham Festival today but she has pulled out.
It’s understood she is trying to pace herself as she recovers from the bout of COVID-19 she had last month.
She had looked as if she was struggling at an engagement yesterday.
Other members of the Royal Family have attended the Cheltenham Festival including ZaraPrincess Anne’s daughter- and Mike Tindall.
Camilla can’t ‘shake’ COVID
It would appear that the Duchess of Cornwall is struggling to recover from the virus. Indeed during an event on International Women’s Day, Camilla joked about her health and struggle to get over COVID-19. During that event, many fans were concerned as the Duchess appeared to be shaking quite a bit.
Camilla is triple vaccinated against COVID-19 as is the rest of the Royal Family.
