In summer, we like our food to be both fresh and refreshing! How convenient, because melon is a fruit that is full of water and antioxidants that you can use in both sweet and savoury dishes. Well here is our version of this traditional ham and melon dish in a salad that looks amazing as well!
Ingredients for two people:
2 slices of cured ham
200g of mozzarella
1. Cut the melon in half
2. Hollow out the melon while keeping it in the shape of a bowl using a spoon: you can make the melon into balls or cubes, whatever you prefer.
3. Cut up the ham and mozzarella into thin slices.
4. Pour the cut-up melon pieces back into the melon and add the ham, mozzarella and basil leaves.
5. Drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the top and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
