Even if you don’t always remember your dreams, you do dream every night and for the entire night. The thing is that dreams last longer depending on how deeply we’re sleeping. The longest dreams are those that are closest to when you wake up, during the phase known as ‘REM sleep’.

2. You have to wake up in the middle of a dream to be able to remember it

In fact, scientists have shown that the brain needs to resume working, even briefly, to be able to encode the dreamer’s information so that they can remember it. So, if you remember one of your dreams, it’s because you woke up in the middle of it, sometimes without even realising. Therefore, people who remember their dreams more often have a high wake-up rate and increased brain activity but for the average person, we forget 90% of our dreams. So, of the 100,000 dreams that are dreamt during an average life, we end up forgetting a lot of them.

3. We dream about the same things

According to a study about dreams,dreamers tend to dream about similar themes. Of course, from one dreamer to another, dreams aren’t exactly identical, but there are certain themes that tend to crop up like flying, falling and nudity… But at the end of the day, it all comes down to your imagination.
