Ezra Miller: What you need to know about the 'grooming' allegations against the actor

Ezra Miller, although at the high point of his career, has been in a lot of trouble lately. They were recently accused of 'grooming' a girl they met in 2016 when they were 23, and the girl, Tokata Iron Eyes, was only 12 years old at that time. Here's what you need to know about the allegations against the actor.

Ezra’s troubling past

Ezra Miller has been in a lot of trouble lately and has committed many crimes in the past few months. The cause of their troubling behaviour still remains unclear. The actor was previously arrested in Hawaii on April 19, as per The Los Angeles Times. Apparently, the 29-year-old star threw a chair at a 26-year-old woman’s head at a home in Pāhoa on the Big Island. They later appeared in the court and plead ‘no contest to disorderly conduct’.

Ezra meets Tokata

According to The Independent, Miller met Tokata when she was just 12 years old. Tokata is a Native American environmental activist and the two met each other in North Dakota. In a legal document provided to TMZ by Tokata’s parents, they claim that the actor had taken ‘control of their daughter’. Miller even flew the then-14-year-old Tokata to London in 2017, to see the studio where they were shooting for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. In the document provided to TMZ, Tokata's parents allege:

Ezra uses violence, intimidation, threat of violence, fear, paranoia, delusions, and drugs to hold sway over a young adolescent Tokata.

Tokata, who is now 18 years old, dropped out of her school approximately five months ago and has been in hiding with Miller since. The activist’s parents filed a case in court against Miller, however, the court was unsuccessful in serving the papers as they were not able to locate them. Tokata also issued a public video via Instagram claiming that she is with Miller as per her own accord. In a public note posted on Instagram, she accused her parents of ‘blatant betrayal and toxicity’, and mentions that their behaviour is ‘unacceptable and needs to be called out’.
