Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts, nowadays more often referred to simply as Glastonbury Festival, is a five-day music festival based in Somerset, England and the majority of the staff are actually volunteers who help raise millions of pounds for charity.

The festival is now the largest Greenfield festival worldwide and is attended by around 200,000 people each year. Due to the large mass of people who flock to the area, extreme measure have to be taken to ensure safety of guests.
The 2019 festival spanned the 26th to the 20th of June and on the final day one security guard who was manning the event was discovered dead within a tent on the festival grounds.
A G4S spokesperson revealed to the Metro, “At 5:00pm on Saturday 30 June, one of our employees was found dead in his tent at Glastonbury Festival, where he had been working as a security officer.”
While many speculated that the death could be a result of heat exhaustion due to the high temperatures over the weekend, the spokesperson revealed, “Officers attended and are satisfied the man’s death is not suspicions. The coroner has been informed.”
