As Cheryl returns with another brand new single, Let You, fans have been quick to point out the resemblance between the star of the music video and her ex-partner and co-parent Liam Payne. But Cheryl has hit back at rumours the song is about the One Direction star.
Cheryl has just released the second single from her fifth studio album, Let You. Following on from her raunchy previous single, Love Made Me Do It, this new song has a more serious message. Let You is an empowering song about fighting back against controlling relationships.
The lyrics include: 'See I'm not afraid to say "It's all my fault"/ I was passive, you took advantage, yeah/ See you draw your line but I never drew my own/ Baby you should know that it might'. Unsurprisingly, many fans have speculated as to whether these lyrics could be about one of her well-known exes.
Cheryl's rocky relationship history
Cheryl was first married to footballer Ashley Cole from 2006 to 2010. Their marriage ended in dramatic fashion after the player cheated on her with multiple women. Four years later, she married her second husband, Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, after a whirlwind three month romance.
Sadly, this marriage lasted just two years - but Cheryl soon moved on with One Direction star Liam Payne. Ten years Cheryl's junior, the couple had first met when Liam was just 14 when he auditioned for series 5 of The X Factor.
Cheryl and Liam welcomed their first child, Bear, together in March 2017 but announced their split in July 2018. Cheryl shared a joint statement via her Twitter which told fans that ending their relationship had been a 'tough decision', and asked for privacy for their son Bear.
Despite the former couple's insistence that they're on good terms, many fans can't seem to get over the resemblance between Liam and the star of Cheryl's new music video... Check out the video above to judge for yourself and see what Cheryl had to say about it all...
