It has to be said, Meghan Markle has looked stunning throughout her pregnancy. But having fashionable maternity outfits is expensive. And here’s the proof.
Who would have thought that pregnancy would make her want to go on a shopping spree? Ever since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made the happy announcement that they were expecting, the Duchess of Sussex has had to buy a whole new wardrobe to showcase her baby bump. And according to the Mirror, the former actress didn’t hold back. In fact, since she fell pregnant, it is said that the young woman has spent more than £500,000 on clothes. And we can see why. Rather than going for baggy jeans, leggings or big jumpers, the mother-to-be instead opted for tight dresses from Dior, Givenchy and Carolina Herrera.
‘Some of the clothes – and especially some of the jewellery and accessories – Meghan has worn have been made especially for her, making them priceless,’ said Amber Graafland, the Mirror fashion editor.
The site also detailed the prices of some outfits that Meghan wore during her visits. And they’ll definitely have your head spinning. Kensington Palace is said to have spent £4,600 on her black and white Oscar De La Renta dress that she wore in Australia. And for the dress she wore during her official dinner on the Fiji Islands, they forked out almost £1,300, as Closer reported. After all, nothing is too dear for the Duchess of Sussex!
