Buckingham Palace made the official announcement that the baby will soon be here, writing: 'The Duchess went into labour in the early hours of this morning. The Duke of Sussex was by Her Royal Highnesses' side. An announcement will be made soon.'
Meghan and Harry's first child will become seventh in line to the throne, after Charles, William, George, Charlotte, Louis and Harry himself.
